Dear Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at M.S. 137! I hope you’re as excited as I am for a year filled with growth, learning, and positive experiences. It is an honor to work with our amazing students as they navigate this important transition through middle school.As your principal, I have dedicated my career to serving District 27 for the past 22 years. I began my journey as a fifth-grade teacher at P.S. 108, transitioned to teaching Technology here at M.S. 137, and later took on the role of Technology Coordinator. I was proud to lead our students in the ThinkQuest and NBC Digital Media Competitions, where they consistently shone against tough competition throughout New York City.In 2017, I became the Assistant Principal and helped create our Dual Language program, proudly watching our first cohort graduate in 2020 and successfully enter Forest Hills High School’s esteemed Dual Language Program. As the daughter of Chilean immigrants, I understand the unique challenges faced by ENL students and their families. My journey is a testament to the idea that with hard work and determination, anything is possible. My educational philosophy centers on putting students first and ensuring their voices are heard, and I am committed to equity for all our students at M.S. 137.
We are focused on fostering not just academic success but also aim to provide every student with the support to grow emotionally, intellectually and socially into a contributing member of a global society..
